We're all familiar with the cliché "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." It's probably one of the most challenging aspects of being a leader - getting people to cooperate with actions that you deem appropriate or even necessary, such as water conservation. Our county supervisors say they aren't going to mandate water conservation locally because the state already has demanded that Sonoma County show some serious effort on programs to conserve water and the county feels they are meeting that mandate. With our new minimally invasive hip replacement surgery table, orthopedic surgeons from Sebastopol Orthopedics are helping patients walk up stairs in only two days after surgery. It's truly a miraculous innovation for those folks in need of a hip replacement, and we are fortunate to have the only minimally invasive hip surgery technology in the North Bay.

Sonoma County Water Agency recently released its Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Russian River County Sanitation District Irrigation Reliability and Beneficial Reuse Project. ("Irrigation Project".) Comments are due by July 20 District Directors (Supervisors) will hold a meeting on the project on July 10th at 10 AM. For more information call Jeff Church at 707-547-1949.
